March 19, 2009: Successfully reduced his client’s child support obligation whereby the client was overpaying based on his income and set child support in accordance with the guidelines under the Texas Family Code.
April 6, 2009: Successfully obtained primary custody for his male client after a half day trial before the court.
April 14, 2009: Successfully defended a request to lift a residency restriction so the custodial parent could move to California and successfully excluded the opposing party’s purported retained custody evaluator from testifying as a custody expert.
April 24, 2009: The morning his client’s case is set for trial, Mr. Granata obtained a settlement whereby his client received 75% of the marital estate.
May 15, 2009: After a half day trial before the Court, Mr. Granata obtained a ruling for below guideline child support and unsupervised access for his client (that very same day) to his child where the opposing party had demanded supervised access.
May 21, 2009: Successfully negotiated a change in primary conservatorship whereby Mr. Granata’s client had previously had limited access to the child for the last five years and was now named the custodial parent.
June 15, 2009: After a trial before the court, Mr. Granata obtained a below guideline child support award after a demand from the opposing party for a child support figure that was above guidelines.
